DRIVE INNOVATION AND BECOME NDIS-READY
After a sell-out first Program in early 2015 the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) is running a second enterprise-based learning Program to support disability organisations in developing market-oriented, client focused business models, in response to the opportunities that the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) presents.
The NDIS2 Program will start in 2016 and be limited to a maximum of 20 participants from the disability sector in Australia. It will provide unprecedented access to leading corporate, government and community expertise as well as networks from Australia and the UK.
What is the NDIS Accelerator?
School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) Australia’s NDIS Accelerator is a unique learning program that will build your organisational capability to meet National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) objectives.
Using SSE’s global best practice Action Learning model, the Program will develop your skills and provide tools to apply to current business models or to evolve new enterprises in response to the opportunities that the NDIS presents.
The NDIS sector-specific offering provides unprecedented access to leading corporate, government and community expertise as well as networks from Australia and the UK, to rapidly develop business models and enterprises.
SSE’s 17 years of social enterprise development experience has previously been used to develop businesses ready for the divestment and rollout of public services in the UK, through the Big Society Policy.
Our first NDIS offering was limited to 20 participants and there have been many success stories.
The NDIS2 offering will commence in mid-2016 and we are seeking expressions of interest so we can tailor delivery and location to meet needs.
Where will the Program be delivered?
SSE is currently active in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and WA. We are in advanced talks with partners to work in South Australia. While the recent NDIS rollout announcement is relevant to NSW and VIC, our offering is open to all people nationally. The NDIS2 is a part-time schedule with flexible components so that interstate participants can attend.
The part-time schedule also enables participants to implement the knowledge they gain back into their organisations during the Program, as well as providing capacity for other work commitments.
To find out more about the participants in the first NDIS Accelerator read their stories and experiences in the NDIS Accelerator Program Yearbook (pdf).
How do I apply for the NDIS2?
The Program will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants from the disability sector in Australia. The 2015 offering sold-out in 2015 so register your interest for the 2016 Program now or alternatively, email email@example.com for more information.
